Our nursery rhyme: Hey Diddle Diddle.
Our memory verse: Do unto others as you would do to you. -Luke 6:31
We will also begin discussing the 6th day of Creation. God made the animals and people.
February is Dental Health month. We will be talking to the children this week about the importance of brushing their teeth and taking care of their mouth. They will also come home with a prize from a local dentist!
March is Disability Awareness month. Since the other local schools will be using the dolls during the month of March, the local branch of Easter Seals has graciously lent us the disablilty dolls for us to show the children. The dolls show the children that even though a child might be in a wheelchair, be blind, be hearing impared or have braces on their legs that they are just like them and they want to be treated like them as well. Those children just get around a little differently but they still like to have fun and be a kid.
We will be reading the stories,"Since We're Friends:An Autism Picture Book", "David Goes to School" and "Elmo Visits the Dentist".
We will also be doing some fun crafts and actiivites to go along with our letter and number of the week as well as our dicusssion of the 6th day of Creation.
Our Star Student this week is Sam Howard! :)
