Week of 8/20

Again, welcome to pre-school! Mrs. Amy and I are so excited to start this school year off!

This week we will learn:

How to write and recognize the letter: A
How to recognize and sort the color: red
Our memory verse: "Ask and it shall be given" -Matthew 7:7
Our nursery rhyme: Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star.
We will make fun crafts to go along with our letter and nursery rhyme of the week.
We will do a writing and drawing prompt from, "When I look at the Stars....."
We will be working on our cutting skills.
We will read the stories: "The Kissing Hand", Pooh's First Day of School" and "What A Day It Was At School!"

Parent Reminders:
Please remember that your child is going to be fine. If they start to cry when you leave, the best thing you can do for them is give them a kiss and a hug and tell them to have a good day and walk away.
Mrs. Amy and I will handle it from there. The longer you stay, the harder it is going to go for the child.
Please bring in $1 for your child's drink cup.
Please hang your child's pick up sign from your rear view mirror with the hanger provided.
Please clean out your folders each week.
Book Orders are due: Sept. 6
Pro-rated August tuition is now due!
If your child stays all day, please write their name on the outside of their lunch box/sack.
Please remember to have a weather appropriate change of clothes in your child's backpack in case of an accident.
Please remember that your child needs a FULL SIZE backpack! Their binder and change of clothes must fit in their backpack and it must be able to zip up!
